High Tea goes Chinese
InterContinental Hong Kong's Lobby Lounge has launched a special "Red Box" Chinese Afternoon Tea Set (available on an ongoing basis for HK$428 for 2 persons, Weekdays / HK$488 for 2 persons, Sat, Sun & Public Holidays).
The stunning 3-tiered Chinese lacquered basket features one tier of savoury items including Crispy Scallops with Minced Shrimp and Fresh Pear, Braised Abalone and Mushroom Tart and Golden Crab Claw. The middle tier features Baked Citrus Cream Cake with Oolong, Baked Puff Pastry with Longjing and Custard and Crispy Cookies with Lotus Seed Paste, while the bottom tier showcases a Chilled Almond Dumpling with Bird Nest, a Green Bean Paste Dumpling with Mango Jasmine Tea and Pineapple Crystal Cake. The tea set also includes a basket of Goji berry Madeleines and Baked Sago Chestnut Pudding --- all served with a selection of premium Chinese teas.
